Jewellery designer Adriana Ricci was born in Johannesburg in 1978. After moving to Italy, she attends the Art High School and later receives her Diploma in Jewellery Design at the Jewellery School of Alfonso d'Antonio in Teramo. Here she devotes herself mainly to the design and prototyping of jewellery in wax through the lost wax casting process. In 2005 she moves to Florence where she learns the ancient techniques of the Florentine goldsmiths. She works for the company "Fratelli Piccini", one of the most important producers of fine jewellery of Ponte Vecchio, and for the Four Seasons Hotel, located in the beautiful gardens of the Gherardesca. She comes into contact in 2013 with the vintage world of unique and rare jewels and collectible watches through the great antiques collector David Halevim, assisting him in Sardinia and in Paris. Meanwhile, she starts her own activity as a jewellery designer creating her first collection of silver and bronze jewellery, where she experiments innovative shapes and finishings. The combination of metals, enamels and stones create a perfect fusion of form in a personal style between modern and antique. A jewel that even in its contemporaneity still retains its own charm which is rendered more precious by sinuous, elegant and essential craftsmanship.
